Hmmmm...you can see we're still not finished decorating, even after living in our new home a year. Oh, well...we'll see what the new year brings.
After buying boy toys for 4 years, it's so much fun having a little girl this year. I couldn't resist buying Ava's first doll.
Here's little Ava...our very own living doll!
The boys had a mock battle with swords and light sabres... Ayden was Aniken Skywalker and Jameson was a Ninja Turtle.I already mentioned that Santa (a/k/a Doughboy) was very generous this year. I have long been intrigued with history, particularly Egyptology. Tomorrow, Doughboy is taking me to the Tutankhamun exhibit at Atlanta's Civic Center followed by the a visit to the High Museum to see First Emperor: China's Terre Cotta Army. Sadly cameras are not allowed due to the delicate nature of the ancient artifacts. But I'll enjoy it nonetheless. I'll let you know how we like it.

What a lovely gift! I am a museum freak and love the great art museums, too. Sadly, my hubby isn't one to wander the halls of these. Have fun!
Little Ava is a baby doll herself! So tiny...so precious.
OMG! I can't believe how much Ava has grown in the short time since I saw her. She is a honey. Enjoy the field trips. We saw the King Tut exhibit in Chicago. We really enjoyed it. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your time off.
Your grandchildren are lovely - lovely the ninja turtle!! Also love your tree - it looks so festive. Enjoy your museum trip and the terracotta army - I have seen it in Xian and it is awesome.
Oh, what a lovely home you have Debra! That tree is perfect and I'm not sure whether or not it's artificial, but if it were, it's exactly the shape I'd be looking for. I love your fireplace and the library shelves next to it. It all looks so cozy.
What a wonderful gift! I wish I could squeeze that beautiful baby girl!
Those kidlets are gorgeous, and your home looks lovely, warn and inviting. Thanks for sharing its coziness.
