We're leaving a little time before classes begin to explore the splendor of Connecticut. We'll spend Wednesday touring as many lighthouses as we can visit in one day from Stamford to Mystic (there are 23 in total). Time permitting, we'll stop at the historic ivy league university - Yale - to photograph the stately campus architecture. We plan to spend Thursday capturing the beautiful fall colors before the CPR kickoff event later that evening. Following that, it's two intense days of photography classes before we return home Sunday.
I couldn't leave for Connecticut without toasting my Doughboy.
He is travelling from Denver to Atlanta Wednesday night to take care of our three canine children while I'm away. Thank you, sweetheart!
I've encountered many husbands that don't support their spouse's passions, hobbies, or interests. Doughboy not only supports my creativity, he encourages it. Thanks much for my going-away gifts, honey. I'll see you Sunday {kiss kiss}...
For now, my friends, I will sign off. Be sure to return next week for tales of our wild adventure.

Have fun! Come visit me. You will drive right by my house;)
Shall expect to see some wonderful photography when you return! Hope you got to a lot of lighthouses - that is a lovely coastline - I visited it a few years ago.
I can't wait to read about your adventure! This sounds like something I'd adore doing. Yes, Doughboy is a gem.
I didn't know it was a photography retreat and am now officially super jealous!
Ok. I'm fine now.
When I read the title of today's blog "Farewell My Friends", I thought you were ending your blog!
Please don't do that to me!
You girls have fun...learn lots...make sure your baby girl get some much needed sleep!

Awwwwwww...your blog made me sad...happy/sad. I'm blessed with a supportive hubby, too so I know where you're coming from. I can't WAIT to see some of your pictures. You are always on the top of my blog list every day. Have fun and stay safe.
I'm glad to see it was a Riesling, even though it wasn't French.

She only drinks Firestone when she's 'tired'.
OK....that was bad. I finished off the bottle tonight with the dogs (Kady, Dianora, and Leo). Dianora guzzled hers and Leo is asleep in the corner. At 4.5 pounds, it doesn't take much. Kady ordered a pizza (she du-clawed it on speed dial) and has retreated under the bed with pepperoni on her breath (an improvement, trust me). I was trying to clean up the house before Deb got home and I tried to find that noisey wheelie thing she uses to suck up stuff off the carpeting. Couldn't find it so I used the lint thing with the sticky roller. Seemed to work. I also did laundry. That was probably a mistake. Everything came out pink. By the way, we need more bleach. Oh yeah, the term ,'microwave safe' is not exactly true in all cases. The cat misses you as do I. BTW, what's the cat's name? And when did we get a cat? OK, gotta go....water is running somewhere and I guess I should find out where.
Found where the water was running.
Yippeee ! Indoor pool !!! Life is good !
I loveeeeeee riesling wine!!! Great choice.
Hope you had fun on your trip and learned lots of new things. Can't wait to see new pics.
