After The Storms

The heavy rain-laden storm clouds have passed and a glorious blue sky emerges. With only a couple hours remaining of Doughboy's vacation, I begged to take a ride on the path. We are very fortunate to have 78 acres of green space around us and about 3 miles of paved paths winding in and out of the woods. Our grandchildren love to go for rides on the golf cart. It's not unusual to see a wide variety of birds, rabbits, and an occasional painted turtle or deer. But today was quiet. No children. Just us...and the birds and bugs. It was a nice change from the past few action filled days.

Debra, The pics this morning just speak of calm and quite. After a week-end of summer showers, everything looks so clean and green. It is amazing how a little water from above can change the landscape. There is also nothing more blue than the skies after a summer shower.
Is nature's wildlife attracted to you camera or do you just sit and wait for a hummingbird to fly by? A little bird told me that the deer have been praticing all week-end their leaps for your camera. Love all the pics keep it up.

oops! The blackberries that are featured in your pics are great to eat. They make the best cobbler, Jamie. My Grandfather would pick them and Granny would freeze them for a treat in the winter. Hope you will try them.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Fun with the family and then that nice quiet ride. How wonderful you can jump on your cart and enjoy the tranquility of the woods. Love the pics from the 4th!
