This Needs No Words...

Photo taken August 28, 2007. I remember taking this picture. I took it because I didn't believe gas prices would ever get higher than this. Less than one year later, gas is $4.04 a gallon at our local RaceTrac. I have to leave now...to have a good cry...

Who want to even think about the price of gas? Who's fault is it? Are we as American spoiled? Yes, we have enjoyed the cheapest price for oil in the world. We use it like water. Where else in the world do they consume oil like we do? Also, why are we not producing our own oil? Why do we not have enough refineries? The list of questions goes on and on. We will never no the truth.

We've been paying in the $4.90's out here in California. It takes $70 to fill our mini-van, of which we own the most fuel efficient mini-van currently available. BUT, I totally agree with Chere's comments. In France they pay the equivalent of $10/unit, but they're only buying in litres!

Hi...I'm not posting about the price of gas, although it's really crappy and the reason we are not traveling around the country, but I am writing to say....YOU'RE HAVING A GIRL! How wonderful! I am so excited for the Payne and Rector family.

.....so take a picture of the $4.05/gallon price now because it will look good when its $8/gallon.
We have no energy policy in this Country....and unfortunately it will take $8/gallon to get us one. There's enough 'harder to get' fossil fuels still in the ground to last us 300 years. We have the technology to get it, just not the will.
