Wind Beneath Your Wings

My photo friend, Darlene and I ventured to the pond at Summer Grove hoping to find something to photograph. The temps made it into the low 50's and the midday sun made it feel warmer than it was. I miss the pond more than I realized. We were elated to find our family of Canada Geese that had stayed at the pond rather than migrate to wherever geese go.

I long for spring and the return of nature subjects to photograph. Soon...very soon.

Beautiful. Count me in as a "me too" on the return of Spring!

The local geese on our Corporate grounds in Pittsburgh fly down to Cabo over the Holidays on the 4 to a room deal (all inclusive). Thry usually fly back by Spring Break after a stop over in Nogales for a few shooters. Boswell, the lead goose, will generally phone ahead (cell) to make sure the river bank is cleaned up and ready for their arrival.

There is a faint hint of Spring in the air here today Debra - yes there is a battle going on but I think we can be sure that Spring will win it and there will soon be masses to photograph.

Five inches of snow here this morning. And plenty of Canadian Geese to boot. They never seem to leave. But that being said, I am holding out for Spring;)

I'll be glad when my classes are over with so I can quit waiting on that photo I need for a project and just take stunning photos like this one. We've got to hurry and get to the gym because pretty soon, we won't have time anymore. :)

We got snow and a nice thick layer of ice here in Maryland. The Canada geese have left the big pond in town. Don't know where they went but they'll probably be back. Beautiful shot, Debra!

I encounterd a mere 22 Canadian Geese last Saturday as my daugther and I went out to run errands.
As I turned to drop her off at the spa, a trail of 22 geese were sauntering along the parking lot...making little deposits as they shuffled along...did I have my camera? nooooo

I think some of them stay behind in NYC on a Kamikaze mission :-(
